Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the government for seniors, along with those that have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person must acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual should be hospitalized for their issue, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
