Self pay might be the only option for individuals who need treatment in a drug and alcohol rehab center for drug use but have zero health insurance. It isn't uncommon for someone addicted to drugs or alcohol not to have private medical health insurance, as it can be hard to keep an alcohol or drug habit going while also sustaining employment.
