TRICARE is medical health insurance which is provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers numerous treatment services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally need to get a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, which may be organized with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility will be the favored treatment option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits concerning how much time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors standing by to help you today.
